Day 01- ROME                  

Arrival in Rome. Individual transfer to your Hotel. Check in time is usually around 2 p.m. In the afternoon, at 4 pm, we enjoy a fascinating tour of this ancient city. The many classic sights Include the Trevi Fountain, The Lungotevere, Castle of St. Angelo and St. Peter's Basilica. This evening join us for dinner at your hotel where you will be greeted by our representative or tour escort.

After breakfast we depart to the "cradle of the Renaissance", Florence. On the way we cross Lazio, Umbria and Toscana, some of the most beautiful regions in Italy.  Around 1pm we will reach Florence "the Devine", famous for its priceless treasures, preserved forever in the unbelievable elegant "Palazzi". In the early afternoon a local expert guide introduces us to Giotto's Bell Tower, Piazza Della Signoria, Cathedral, and many other timeless highlights of "Dante's Town".  Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 04- FLORENCE/ STRESA/ BAVENO

After breakfast, depart for the Lombardia region and onward to our destination for the next two nights in Baveno/Stresa on the Lake Maggiore, which is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, well known for its splendid climate, with vegetation and historical sites. Dinner at your hotel this evening.

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by a breathtaking day-long excursion into the Alps and Switzerland. Skirting Lake Maggiore, we pass by Pallanza, Intra, Ghiffa, and finally reach Lugano. After arriving in Lugano, you are on your own to enjoy lunch, shop in the elegant boutiques of Via Nassa, or walk by the magnificent Civic Park.
Later this afternoon, we return to Baveno/Stresa for our second night. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Verona, one of Italy's most fascinating cities, endowed with a wide variety of monuments and historic buildings.  Stop to pay a visit to Romeo and Juliet's balcony and to the Roman Theatre. Then proceed on to Padua, stopping to visit the famous Basilica of St. Anthony, then proceeding to Venice, " La Serenissima".  Venice is perhaps the most wonderful and unique city in the world, boasting an incredible number of churches and historical buildings.
Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

After breakfast, by private boat crossing the Giudecca Canal, we will reach Piazza San Marco to meet a local expert for a guided walking tour of the city, taking in St. Mark's Square, Palace of the Doges, the Bridge of Sighs and many other highlights. Our visit concludes at a glass factory, where we admire the glass master practicing his ancient art. The afternoon is free for an optional visit to Murano and Burano, or for shopping on your own (try the ancient Rialto Bridge).
This evening we suggest a romantic serenade in a gondola across the "Canal Grande". Overnight.

Breakfast at your hotel and departure in the direction of Tuscany and onward to Siena, a city full of art and history.
Lunch on your own. In the afternoon city tour of Siena, where you may admire the marvelous Cathedral, the gothic Municipal Palace with its walls full of paintings by Siena's most famous artists and Piazza del Campo, which every year since 1656 has been the site of the famous "Palio di Siena," a colorful horse race between the various districts of the city. Then we proceed to Perugia. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 09- PERUGIA to ROME

After an early breakfast depart for Rome. Ovenight at the hotel.

Day 10- ROME/ NAPLES/ POMPEII/ SORRENTO

After breakfast we depart from Rome via "Autostrada del Sole" (the major Italian Highway for Naples). A short drive across this famous city, known for many years as the capital of the "Kingdom of Two Sicilies", introduces us to Mergellina, Lungomare Caracciolo, Castel Dell'Ovo, il Maschio Angioino. Next, we’re off to Pompeii for a guided afternoon tour of the archaeological excavations of this old Roman city, destroyed and buried by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and discovered at the end of the 16th century. We’ll dine at our hotel in Sorrento tonight. OVERNIGHT: Meta di Sorrento - HOTEL PANORAMA PALACE or Sorrento HOTEL LA MERIDIANA or similar - 3 stars.

Day 11- SORRENTO

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the day at your leisure.  Optional tour to Amalfi. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.

Day 12- SORRENTO/ Excursion to CAPRI/ ROME

After breakfast we take a ferry from the port to the Isle of Capri, an island famous since Roman times, and favorite vacation home of the emperor Tiberius.
Arrival at the port of Marina Grande and depart by minibuses for "La piazzetta". Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon return to Sorrento and depart for Rome.

Day 13- Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. End of the tour.
