A Naturalistic itinerary on foot to discover the northern side of Hiblean Mounts between Ragusa and Siracusa.
During the tour donkeys will carry partecipants’ luggages and stocks; but it’s possible to pay a supplement of 50 Euro to have one personal donkeys and ride it.
Program:
1st day: Meeting point at Villa Liequa in Giarratana, organization of luggages and stocks on donkeys' back and departure for the tour following the route of the ancient railway towards the Anapo river valley.
Arrival at a farm house resort where it will set up the camping area with a breathtaking view. Dinner based on “scacce”, “’mpanate”, “teste di turco” ( all typical kinds of focaccia with vegetables and meat), local wine, “ravioli” (with ricotta cheese and sugar) and to finish “Passito di Noto” wine. Overnight stay.
2nd day: Disassembly of the camping area and brekfast with typical jams and homemade bread; departure at 9.00 to visit the Greek Theatre in Palazzolo Acreide; carring on with Buscemi, Museum City, where it will visit the anthropological museum, inside the original artisans’ houses.
Packet lunch based on local cheese and sicilian salumi ( Salt porks): Ragusano Cheese, Pecorino Cheese, pickled olives and Nero D’Avola wine. The itinerary continues with the discover of the woods located in the northern side of Hiblean Mounts. In the evening arrival at the Farm resort of Anapo river valley and arrangement of camping area. Barbecued meat and vegetables for dinner and overnight stay.
3rd day: Disassembly of the camping area and departure for Erbesso Mount to visit the remains of the ancient kasmene. Arrival at a typical “Masseria” where it is possible to taste the hot ricotta cheese. After lunch return to Liequa Villa where there will be served a refreshment (soft ice-creams, biscuits and sweet wine).
Price: Euro ___ per person for small groups of minimum 4 people/maximum 12 people.
The price includes: the guide; the stableboy; donkeys; the overnights in field tents (2 people in each); all the meals and drinks; the entrance-fees in the Greak-Theatre and the Museum. The luggage hasn’t to weight more than 10 kg. per each person.
